Dayskipper/Yachtmaster training

YM_Theory_460x190

Over the last 25 years we have had a few boats, starting off on windsurfers, then dinghy’s ( a few of those) and then motor cruisers, Trailer sailer yachts, shares on a narrowboat and now we sail a Parker 21. Sailing has always been a hobby/pastime/love of mine, and as such I did my Dayskipper and Yachtmaster courses back in 1995/96. Since this time Jenny has only done a bit of sailing and so this year has a lot to catch up on. The plan is for Jenny to complete her Yachtmaster by the end of the year. To get her started I bought her for Christmas an online theory training course to get her up to Dayskipper theory level. The video courses are a good refresher for me as well. Heres a link to the site we are using Westview Sailing.

We will keep you updated on our progress.

The Parker 21 is out of the water at the moment for the winter. We’re ticking the days off on the calendar looking forward to getting back out on the water. And later this year, potentially in October we will be chartering a boat down in the Solent for the week with a few friends.
